Food and Beverage Warehouse Manager - PA Farm Show Complex (Harrisburg, PA)
POSITION SUMMARY: This position is responsible for the purchasing, receiving, rotation and stocking of all food service products, will also oversee the daily operation and supervision of staff in the Food & Beverage Warehouse. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Purchasing, receiving, inventory management and distribution of all food and beverage products. • Utilize Point of Sale back of the house system to prepare purchase orders, receive products, maintain current product costs and recording of month end inventory. • Hiring and training of all Warehouse personnel. • Maintaining labor costs and budget goals. • Monitor daily deliveries, ensure proper storage, product rotation and accounting of all products ordered. • Implement cost and inventory controls and direct day to day warehouse operations activities to maximize efficiency and profitability. • Ensure proper transfer documentation of all product movement from warehouse to food and beverage sales outlets. • Maintaining all Concession equipment cleanliness and maintenance. • Ensure that all standards for safety and sanitation are maintained. • Oversee the laundering of food and beverage staff uniforms. • Scheduling and authorizing payroll for department employees. • Ensure proper stocking of all concession stands and portable food outlets. • Other duties as assigned. POSITION SUMMARY: This position oversees, directs and coordinates the entire food and beverage operation at the facility by performing the following duties personally or through subordinate supervisors. POSITION RESPONSIBILITIES: • Oversees food and beverage operations during events to ensure client and customer satisfaction. • Develops event work plans including scheduling and ordering of products and assigns appropriate duties to subordinates. • Maintaining labor costs and budget goals. • Maintain and implement Point of Sale system procedures relating to purchasing, product movement and inventory; assure that system is being used to its capacity. • Assists Director with monthly sales projections and annual budget process. • Implement cost and inventory controls and direct day to day operations activities to maximize efficiency and profitability. • Ensure that all standards for safety and sanitation are maintained. • Reviews food and beverage purchases and schedules submitted by each department to determine sufficient product and staffing levels are met. • Inspects food service facilities to ensure that equipment and buildings meet requirements of state and local health laws and internal regulations. • Ensures that points of sale for each event are maximized to achieve budgeted sales goals. • Inspects and tastes prepared foods to maintain quality control standards. • Other duties as assigned. Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Distribute money bank(s) to each location, verifying balance and totals correctly at all times.
    • Collect deposit drops throughout the event as needed.
    • Process and deliver accurate change request as needed for each location.
  • Balance each money bank(s) for all location, complete deposit ticket(s) and run reconcilement sheet(s).
    • Maintain a clean work area at all time.

Summary

SMG, the leader in privately managed public assembly facilities, has an excellent and immediate opening for the Suite Runner for SMG/ Stockton Arena. The Suite Runner 1 assists the Suite Attendant in providing Suites guests with a pleasant experience. The Suite Runner 1 is primarily responsible for setting the Suite up with appropriate preordered and complimentary food and beverage items and serving equipment before the guests arrive. Following the event the Suite Runner 1 will clear away any remaining food and equipment restoring the Suite to prevent condition.

The employee must maintain excellent attendance and be available to work events as scheduled per business need.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Assists the Suite Attendant in serving meals to guests in the suites.
  • Responsible for observing guests to respond to any additional requests and determine when the meal has been completed.
  • Responsible for cleaning up remaining food product and equipment after the guests have left.
  • Responsible for keeping the Suite work areas and equipment clean.
  • Responsible for setting up the Suite with preordered and complimentary food and beverage product and required serving equipment.

Summary

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

Maintain a commitment to customer service and guest satisfaction. Perform all guest contact activities such as serving food and beverage, answering guest questions, etc. in a cordial, efficient and professional manner. Ensure that the food and beverage is served while maintaining a consistent presentation and proper temperature. Assist in food, beverage, equipment, china, glass and silverware inventories on a predetermined basis. Maintain a cooperative, team-like attitude in working with supervisors and fellow employees (including other departments). Enforce all sanitation procedures including safety guidelines and OSHA requirements. Organizing equipment for an event as well as cleaning, maintaining, and looking after equipment during and after functions. Make sure all storerooms are clean, organized and secured.

Immediate communication of special requests, guest problems or concerns to, Suite Supervisor. Follow all designated opening and closing procedures to ensure areas are secure and energy efficient. Follows all rules and regulations which apply to the food and beverage operations and to SMG Food and Beverage Division. Ensure the proper handling and cleaning of all equipment, china, glass and silver. Perform any reasonable requests assigned by management for the arenas staffing and performance needs.

Summary

The Porter is responsible for the delivery, maintaining, stocking, cleaning and ensuring that there is a sufficient supply of products in the concession stands. Position requires an individual to have customer service skills, positive attitude, food preparation, assist in preparing location and area for day to day operation, responsible for accurate accounting and all transactions and assist with location inventory controls.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

  • Maintain safe working conditions and sanitary work area.
  • Follow rules and regulations of SMG Food & Beverage.

  • Monitors stock levels, obtains supplies and equipment as requested by management.

  • Fulfilling the service per each Banquet Event Order (BEO).
  • Consults with Food Services Manager regarding serving arrangements and if additional employees and equipment are required for a smooth event.

Supervisory Responsibilities

Directly supervises all servers in Food and Beverage. Carries out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with SMG's policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include, at the direction of the F&B Director/Manager,  interviewing, hiring, and training employees; planning, assigning, and directing work; appraising performance; rewarding; disciplining employees in conjunction with Human Resources; addressing complaints and resolving problems.

Ensures that all departmental needs and procedures are met, including operational oversight of events.

Major Responsibilities

  • Receives and issues food & beverage products to various locations.
  • Processes and maintains product transfer procedures and concession purchase orders.
  • Responsible for recording month end inventory.
  • Rotates stock and checks par levels of concession products.

  • Directs warehouse runners with concession location opening, setup, closing and breakdown.

  • Assist with oversight of events.

Supervisory Responsibilities      

Directly supervises all warehouse personnel. Carry out supervisory responsibilities in accordance with company’s policies and applicable laws. Responsibilities include training employees; planning, assigning and directing work; addressing complaints and resolving problems. Serves as backup to Food & Beverage Manager.

  • Ordering, receiving and preparing all food items for the facility.
  • Maintaining food costs and budget goals.
  • Produce required product according to Banquet Event Orders for each event.

  • Participate in promotional media related events to promote the facility.

  • Give oversight and direction to retail production and deliverability.
  • Maintain a Health Department score of 90 or higher.
  • Daily contact with the Director of Food & Beverage/General Manager and other venue or arena employees.  Regular contact with all Food & Beverage Managers and staff.
